Founded in 2000, Elite is a sales, marketing and distribution company that supplies perishable, semi-perishable and non-perishable products to The Defense Commissary Agency. The members of Elite's management team have over 100 years of combined experience and have provided dedicated service and support to the military commissary and exchange systems dating back to AFCOMS, NAVRESSO and TSA. Elite has vast in-depth experience in developing the right product assortment for DeCA's needs, from selecting and buying inventory, to logistics planning, managing weekly inventory levels and establishing the pricing, savings and promotional quantities necessary to support DeCA. Additionally, Elite reviews and processes every replenishment order from our vendor partners based on consumption and current market trends. Elite performs these functions for commissaries and exchanges both nationally and internationally, including distribution channels in both Europe and the Far East.

Sales Channels

 

Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA)

Based out of Fort Lee, Virginia, DeCA is responsible for operating a worldwide chain of military commissaries that provide groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families at cost plus a 5% surcharge which covers the cost of building new commissaries and modernizing existing ones. Savings offered average 30% below standard retail prices, and the estimated benefit for a family of four is $4,400 per year. The current DeCA sales channel is a $8.4 billion business per year.

Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and Navy Exchange (NEXCOM)

​

On the non-perishable products side, AAFES offers department store services out of stores located on military bases. Exchanges are self-funding agencies that pay for operating costs out of their operating budget. With over 2000 operational stores throughout the world, the exchange business totals more than $14 billion in annual sales.
